# Name Change

I was born **Logan Mehl-Laituri**, and this was the name that appears on my military records and which I used for my first two books, [*Reborn on the Fourth of July*](https://www.ivpress.com/reborn-on-the-fourth-of-july?ref=loganmartinisaac.com) and [*For God and Country (in that order)*](https://www.mennomedia.org/9780836196306/for-god-and-country-in-that-order/?ref=loganmartinisaac.com). 

On April 17, 2013, I was confirmed into the Episcopal Church and took the name Martin, after my patron saint, [Martin of Tours](https://www.hospstmartin.org/about-martin?ref=loganmartinisaac.com), becoming **Logan Martin Mehl-Laituri**. 

After returning from Scotland in 2015, my partner and I legally changed our names to Isaac (meaning laughter) and I became **Logan Martin Isaac**;
